We are looking for a professional network engineer to join our growing team. A Network Engineer’s responsibilities are to set up and maintain networks within an organization or between organizations including offering support to users, staff members, customers or suppliers. Therefore, you need to have strong problem solving skills and be able to work with others to solve issues. 

Job Description

  • Responsible in maintaining the stability, integrity and efficient operation of the information systems to meet performance KPI and SLA, quality availability, accessibility, performance and services provider SLA
  • Responsible for 2nd and 3rd  level system incidents, monitoring and prioritizing incidents tickets using system monitoring tools, detecting, identifying and accessing potential system issues and liaising with other engineers for more complicated problems
  • Provide technical advice, guidance, training and input to the review and evaluation of performance
  • Perform detailed root cause analysis for all problems related to the system & application
  • Develop schedules, work breakdown, project tasks and project execution
  • Ability to manage vendor relationships related to the assessment and purchase of network hardware, as well as potentially partnering with vendors in support of the information systems service delivery
  • Assist the Company in maintaining good PR with the client and other relevant agencies
  • Lead the staff in instilling high performance based work culture and promotion of good work habits
  • Maintain a safe and secure work environment
  • Perform other tasks as and when required by the Company 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • At least three (3) years of working experience in the related field is required for this position
  •  Excellent working knowledge of computer systems, and network security
  • Network certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE) will be an advantage
  • Good command in English / Bahasa Malaysia both oral and written
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
  • Independent, self-motivated, and mature in handling all level of staff

Fibre Optic Technician install and repair various types of cables for electricity and telecommunications utilities like telephone and internet. As a Fibre Optic Technician, your job duties include the installation, testing and repair of primary and secondary cable networks.

Job Description

  • To perform splicing, jointing, testing and maintenance for fibre optic aerial and underground fulfilment
  • To install fiber optic equipment such as splicing machines, fiber optic test equipment, and fiber optic cable termination devices includes connecting wires and cables to terminals and attaching/detaching hardware to wires, building or poles
  • To determine the location of underground utilities such as gas, water, and electricity lines before beginning construction work
  •  To perform troubleshooting on fiber optic networks, identify problems and provide solutions
  • To carry out inspections and confirm all procedures, tests and equipment specified in the work permit are complied with before the work permit is approved
  • To carry out atmospheric test in confined spaces
  • To supervises all activities before, during, and after operations in confined spaces
  • To support and update the work progress with Top Management

Requirements

  • Minimum SPM/SPMV or any technical certificates
  • Knowledge about network switch, fibers, optic module
  • Familiar with power meter, fiber cleaning tools, etc.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • NTMSP, AESP, AGTES or CA2C certificate holder will be an added advantage
  • Drivers with GDL license will be an added advantage
